What is recovery typically like for a typical breast augmentation surgery?
Every patient is different, so this really ranges. Our surgesons strive to give each patient the fastest and least painful recovery possible. One of the reasons many patients experience a quick recovery could be because many opt of an axillary incision, wherein the incision is only 1" long and located in the natural crease under your arm.  Many patients report that they were up and moving around the house the day after surgery-- with pain similar to PMS (breasts felt tender). We prescribe pain medication for breast augmentation patients in case they do feel post-operative discomfort-- but it's been our experience that up to 1/3 of those patients simply use Tylenol to ease any pain.

How long does it take for the incision under the arm to heal?
Again-- every patient is different -- but many patients report that they cannot see the scar of the incision under their arm around the four month mark. This of course depends on your skin type, elacticity, etc. Since the incision is done in the natural creases, it tends to really blend in well.

What kind of implants do the surgeons at Beverly Hills Body use?
In many cases, smooth, round saline implants are used. However, each case is evaluated and the right type of implant is recommended based on the physique, lifestyle and aesthetic goals of the patient.

This site contains before and after pictures of patients whom Dr. Ellenbogen and/or other surgeons at Beverly Hills Body have operated on at various stages of postoperative healing. These patients gave their permission for you to see their results. In no way does this ensure that your results will be similar to those shown. Due to variations in patients' desires, anatomy, and previous surgery, every result is different. Although all efforts are taken for the hoped for results to materialize, reputable practitioners cannot make guarantees.
